Hyatt Place Portland Airport/Cascade Station

Great location great room space great employees with great customer service even offered hot chocolate and apple cider with a cinnamon stick. Offered food for 3 o’clock in the morning for early flights. The shuttle was a great experience to and from airport I would highly recommend this place anyone with children is walking distance from other Locations to eat you get amazing choices of what you want to eat shop. It has a target next by Best Buy and plenty other places in treating Ross AT&T Robbins Starbucks in plenty more you even get coupons at this place to eat at other places.

A good hotel. The airport is really nearby, there is a lot of noise, but it didn't bother me. However please be sure to have some earplugs in case you are sensitive to that. The only thing that I didn't enjoy during my stay - the essential one - the bed. It was truly hard to sleep for me and my husband. When any of us moved, the other waked up immediately. We have never experienced this problem in any hotel (and we've been in many), so I don't know what was the problem. Is it related to our room only, or not.

My family and I stayed at this location after our vacation with family was inadvertently cancelled after the first week. We stayed for one week until our scheduled departure from PDX. The staff was very friendly. Alexander was very engaging with my kids. He made sure there were plenty of crayons and coloring pages available. Francesca made sure everything was okay with the room and overall service. The daily breakfast was average. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. The kitchen staff was a little slow on checking high usage items. I can’t remember a breakfast where I had to ask the kitchen staff to refill the milk for cereal. The milk container seemed to be perpetually empty. My only complaint, and reason for one less star, was the smoke from both cigarettes and marijuana entering the hallway while people were smoking at the east entrance. The hotel is non-smoking facility and signs are posted not to smoke within 10 feet of an entrance. Several times a day we had to deal with a smokey hallway and room. The guests who were smoking had a tendency to prop the door open with their foot while they smoked. I confronted a few of the guests who were smoking, but they either blew me off or told me to mind my business. I made my complaint known to the front desk and housekeeping staff, but the issue persisted. There was no resolution during our stay. My guess is that since the smoking area for the east entrance is uncovered and that it was raining most of the week, these guest chose to smoke from the entrance door. I did notice other covered smoking areas near the entrance, but they were rarely utilized.
